How to Install DSL With a Missing Ethernet Driver in Dell Desktops

DSL Internet connections, computer Reach-through Ethernet cable. This goes directly to the cable modem built into the computer. However, if you use a Dell computer and accidentally deleted the driver for the Ethernet cable connection, you must reinstall before connecting to the Internet. Without a driver, your computer does not detect the wired Ethernet cable.

Step 1

Open your Internet browser to navigate and Dell.

Select media “Options” and choose “Downloads” loading news page.

Step 3

click Search to your particular desktop, then the operating system currently installed on your computer. In a moment, all drivers will be available on the screen.

Step 4

Scroll through the list of drivers before finding the modem drivers. Click on “Download” tab for this and download the modem drivers for your computer. Double-click to download the drivers to run the installation wizard. Follow the steps in the memory to complete the driver installation.

Step 5

Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the wall first, then insert the cable end opposite the “WAN” port of the DSL modem.

Step 6

Connect the second Ethernet cable into a port numbers “OUT on the DSL modem, then connect the cable modem to the WAN port for your Dell. A light appears on the modem, which means that the internet is safe and you are able to access the Internet.
